Alan Clark, director of Drakes, was sworn in as the new BPA President. The outgoing President, Andrew Sampson, paid tribute to his successor: "Alan's professional standing and personal presence, coupled with his many years experience within the sector, make him the ideal President. Along with my best wishes he has my full support, and I wish him well in continuing to grow an Association of which we can all be proud."
Two stalwarts of the Association were also honoured with lifetime honorary memberships of the BPA. John Heasman and Alasdair Macmillan, both former BPA President's, received their awards from Andrew Sampson: "Lifetime honorary membership is the highest award we can bestow, and both these men are fully deserving. They have served the BPA loyally for many years and have carried out their duties with professionalism, honour and absolute dedication. We are indebted to them both for their hard work, drive and commitment."
