The European Parking Award has been established by the European Parking Association as a biennial award for excellence in parking. A prize is awarded in each of the following categories

Newly built car parks

Renovated car parks

Specialist parking products in car parks

On-street parking projects
The object of the award is to promote qualitative improvements in car parks, in particular in practicality, construction, maintenance, management, design and safety. The award also promotes the development of good working practices in parking on the street.
Publicity for the award will also improve the image of the parking sector.
Entries are judged by an impartial panel appointed by the EPA Board.
The awards will be presented during the EPA Congress in Geneva, 28 - 30 September, 2005.
Conditions of Entry
Multi storey and underground car parks
Entries must relate to a new or renovated car park of at least 200 public parking spaces, planned as a single unit (although execution may have taken place in stages). Where an entry relates to a renovated car park, the original car park must be at least 10 years old.
On street parking projects
Any on street parking project is eligible.
General Criteria
All entries must meet the following requirements
Entries must be submitted to the EPA Office in Köln no later than 1st January 2005. The EPA board will shortlist up to 3 entries in each category.
Entries must be made using the entry form provided by the EPA secretariat. Entrants may submit any number of entries but each entry must use a separate form. All entries must be submitted to arrive at the EPA office no later than 1st January 2005.
An entry fee of €500 is payable for each entry by 1st January 2005.
Entries must relate to projects which have been opened, re-opened or introduced no earlier than 1st January 2003.
