New Machines Will Improve Parking in the Popular Cherry Creek North Shopping District. Parkeon (formerly Schlumberger’s parking division), the global leader in parking systems and equipment, announced it has signed a contract with the City of Denver to provide more than 75 multi-space pay-and-display Stelio pay stations in the city’s Cherry Creek North shopping district.
The installation of these new centrally managed machines is a key component in improving parking in the high-traffic shopping district.
“Like most major metropolitan centers in the United States, Denver is greatly affected by the high mobility of its population,” said Anderson Moore, City of Denver Parking Director. “With the installation of Parkeon pay stations we hope to continue mitigating the parking challenges facing Cherry Creek North and further our goal in providing the highest quality service to Denver’s residents and visitors.”
Once the installation is complete in 2004, drivers will be able to move their cars from one street space to another within the designated area where kiosks are installed without forfeiting their remaining time. The Stelio pay stations will allow patrons to pay with coins, credit cards or tokens. They will be solar-powered with a wireless connection to a fully hosted management system located at Parkeon’s Moorestown, New Jersey facility.

Parkeon Stelio pay stations will allow Denver parking officials to reduce operating costs through real-time statistical analysis; provide more efficient maintenance planning; streamline parking revenue management, including the collection of revenues and fines; and provide the ability to manage everything from one central location.
