On 13 December 2005, the sale to ACS of the Transport Revenue Division was successfully completed, retroactive to 30 November 2005.
As announced in the media release dated 3 August 2005 Ascom has sold its Transport Revenue Division to ACS (Affiliated Computer Services, Inc.) for CHF 130 million. ACS acquires the Transport Revenue Division with its businesses in Fare Collection and Parking with locations in Switzerland, France, USA, Italy, Great Britain, Spain, Hong Kong, Mexico and Chile as well as the North and South American part of the Toll business unit. All 789 employees and related business activities have been transferred from Ascom to ACS.
The remaining Toll Europe and Asia units will report directly to the Ascom CEO, Rudolf Hadorn. Riet Cadonau, General Manager of Transport Revenue will be joining ACS together with his division.
The Board of Directors and CEO thank Riet Cadonau and his team for the successful work for Ascom.
