Transport Minister John Spellar is to give the keynote address to delegates at one of the parking industry most prestigious events, the annual Spring Seminar.
Organised by the British Parking Association, the Spring Seminar is a one-day conference that sets out to educate and inform parking and traffic management professionals on specific areas of the industry. This year the conference theme is the control of on-street parking: designing for future solutions and respected speakers, who are all experts in their particular fields, will give papers covering aspects from signage and motorcycle parking to public/private partnerships and using computer mapping to define parking restrictions.
Held at The Brewery in Chiswell Street, London, the Spring Seminar attracts parking and traffic management professionals from across the UK, and is supported by an exhibition from leading parking companies. It is taking place this year on 20 March 2002.
Keith Banbury, the new Chief Executive of the BPA, commented on the confirmation of the Transport Minister: "We are delighted to have John Spellar as our keynote speaker. Not only does his presence acknowledge the importance that parking has within the Governments transport strategy, but it also demonstrates the importance of the Spring Seminar itself - as well as providing invaluable practical knowledge it also allows an excellent place to network with parking professionals from across the UK."
