Leading industry experts SITO, have developed a new product for the parking industry that was unveiled at Parkex International.
A CD-ROM training course designed for parking attendants and administrators working in on-street parking enforcement roles. The course structure includes parking control evolution, parking regulations, contravention codes and penalty charge notices. There is an exam at the end of the course to assess candidate’s knowledge. It is also expected that successful completion of this will provide underpinning knowledge evidence for those studying the S/NVQ Parking Control Level 2.
Alistair Macmillan, NVQ Project Manager for the BPA who has been involved with the initiative from the outset: believes this that the CD-ROM course will fill a gap in training needs. Parking attendants and administrators require many skills and one of the most difficult to teach is the recognition of the Contravention Codes. The correct identification and understanding of these is central to effective on-street parking enforcement".
