It has been reported that NCP are in the late stages of negotiation with Easy Park ASA (Easy Park) of Norway to license their mobile phone parking technology for the UK.
The research director of NCP Mr Tony Sedgwick has made it known that NCP are always looking to harness new technology to keep their position as one of the major players in the UK parking enforcement market.
With the help of Easy Park who are the pioneers of Mobile phone payment technology and have already introduced similar systems in Scandinavia, Norway And Copenhagen NCP could gain a stronger hold over the UK parking enforcement market.
Mobile phone-based payment for parking, both on and off street, offers significant advantages over cash and we believe the time is right to introduce it into the UK as an alternative method of payment. What impressed us at Easy Park is the huge investment they have put into their back-office, from both design and operations perspectives.
NCP and Easy Park are confident that the Mobile phone payment system will be rapidly adopted throughout the UK due to it being very customer friendly and robust. The system is capable of handling millions of call and has been fully tested.
Following final agreement with Easy Park AS, NCP expects to be offering the Easy Park system to local authorities throughout the UK.
