WASHINGTON – With Amtrak Guest Rewards, it’s now even easier to earn points toward free Amtrak travel and other rewards. Amtrak is pleased to introduce its new Amtrak Guest Rewards "Select" membership. Select members are those guests who have earned a minimum of 5,000 Amtrak Guest Rewards points on Amtrak rail travel during a calendar year. As a Select member, guests earn bonus points – 25 percent more – on every Amtrak journey.
In addition to earning bonus points for rail travel, Amtrak Guest Rewards Select members will receive a new member ID card recognizing them as Select members as well as an exclusive toll-free number for priority service when making reservations. With Select membership, guests will receive a limited number of seating upgrades (when available) and one day passes to ClubAcela locations in Washington, Philadelphia, New York, and Boston. Members will also receive valuable offers from Amtrak and other Amtrak Guest Rewards partners.

Launched in the fall of 2000, Amtrak Guest Rewards is one of the most flexible loyalty programs in the travel industry. Members earn two Amtrak Guest Rewards points for every dollar spent on Amtrak travel, making it easier and faster to earn points toward free travel and other program rewards. Between Washington, New York, and Boston, guests on Metroliner and Acela Express services earn 500 points for each travel segment, making it possible to qualify for Select status after only five roundtrips in a calendar year.
Amtrak Guest Rewards members earn points for tickets purchased through all Amtrak ticket outlets including ticket counters, in-station Quik Trak machines, online at www.amtrak.com, by calling 1-800-USA-RAIL, or through local travel agents. Program partners include hotel and car rental companies as well as national retailers and restaurants. Amtrak guests can enrol in Amtrak Guest Rewards simply by logging onto www.amtrak.com, calling 1-800-307-5000, or picking up a form at select stations.
