Supporting a high volume of messages in a reliable, scalable and distributed environment, Axway's solutions seemed the natural choice for the DHL project. Steve Wells, Director of Customer Integration at DHL, explained the other reasons behind the selection: "DHL selected Axway's product as being the optimum solution for taking forward its existing integrations on Amtrix, the predecessor to Axway's current product set."

Axway's integration software will process inbound and outbound customer facing information, (including purchase orders, delivery certificates, invoices), transforming information into appropriate formats, validating messages, intelligently routing and logging messages across the extended enterprise. It will support DHL's global EDI and XML hubs.

Stern concludes, "The integration software suite, comprising aXway Integration Broker, Axway Designer, and Axway Sentinel, will respond to many of DHL's customer integration requirements including support for certain XML, X400, FTP, EDI standards such as EDIFACT and X12."
