From kitty carriers to pooch pampering products the new range consists of over 140 new lines aimed at catering for the health and well-being of its customers’ pets.

With 51% of British households owning a pet and a combined cat and dog population in the UK of 14.5 million, Britain is truly a nation of animal lovers and the range of pet products in ASDA’s first pet centre will satisfy customer requests to be able to buy affordable accessories along with their weekly pet food shop.

With more ASDA pet centres planned this year, soon more customers will be able to benefit from the new ranges and low product prices.

Ayaz Alam, ASDA’s pet care buyer, said: "Our customers told us that they wanted to buy everything for their pet under one roof and with prices between 10% to 50% cheaper than existing pet superstores we expect the range to be top dog with ASDA shoppers!"
