11/1/2004 Postcomm appoints Sarah Chambers as its new CEO Source:http://www.postwatch.co.uk, Source date: Postcomm announced today the appointment of Sarah Chambers as its Chief Executive. The Secretary of State for Trade & Industry has also approved her appointment as a Commissioner of Postcomm. Sarah joins Postcomm from the DTI, where for the past four years she has headed their Automotive Unit. She has held a wide range of other posts at DTI and gained regulatory experience as Director of Licensing at Oftel. Nigel Stapleton, Chairman of Postcomm, said today “I am delighted that we are taking on someone of Sarah’s calibre in this key role. The reputation she has gained over the past four years in building strong relationships with stakeholders in the automotive industry is an asset that will help us achieve our objectives over the coming years, when we expect to be working much more closely with stakeholders in the postal industry.” Notes for Editors Sarah Chambers will replace Martin Stanley, the Chief Executive from Postcomm’s inception in 2000, who has now taken up his appointment as Chief Executive of the Competition Commission.
