DMA, CIM SW Marketing Forum 2006, Thursday 2 March, 9.30am – 4.00pm, Leigh Court, Abbots Leigh, Bristol

This one day event brings together eighteen expert speakers from across the marketing spectrum and is the first event of its kind to be hosted jointly by the Direct Marketing Association and the Chartered Institute of Marketing and supported by the Institute of Direct Marketing.

Whether in the B2B or B2C arena, there is no doubt that competition and market conditions are getting tougher and with increasingly sophisticated customers, more channels to market than ever before and rapidly developing digital technologies, the pressure on marketers has never been greater. The South West Marketing Forum is a must for growing businesses and marketers within larger organisations looking to find out more about the latest innovations, make better informed marketing choices and hopefully improve the return on their marketing investment.

Andrew Ward, Regional Manager of DMA West said, “This event promises to be the South West's largest dedicated marketing event of 2006, and with 16 practical, jargon-free seminars to choose from, marketers will be brought up to speed on the very latest marketing innovations. It is also the first time that the DMA, CIM and IDM have joined forces in the region to bring the three regional memberships together under one roof”.

Commenting on the importance of the event Christine Boswell - Munday CIM Regional Director said, “I totally support Andrew's comments and I am very excited about being involved in such a dynamic, relevant and innovative programme. The seminars are a must for all those involved in marketing and business development and are designed to provide new ideas and new ways of doing things. There is also a great opportunity to network with a wide business audience.”

Caroline Robertson, M IDM, Membership Director, The Institute of Direct Marketing, commented, “The IDM is extremely pleased to be supporting this regional Forum with innovation right at its heart. With many of the innovations in modern marketing emerging from the direct, data and digital arena, it's essential that all marketers keep themselves informed of new techniques. I'm delighted to see a strong representation of IDM Fellows, Members and Corporate Member companies on the programme. Marketers should seize this opportunity to learn first hand from the full range of experts.”

This event sponsored by Royal Mail and supported by Business West, IDM West, Beacon South West, Western Daily Press and Spark!

Tim Rivett, Head of Small Business at Royal Mail said, “Royal Mail is delighted to be supporting this great event. One thing that we are constantly finding is that small businesses often find it hard to get their heads up from the day to day activity and do something about keeping their existing customers and finding new ones. I am confident that this event will show businesses of all sizes that marketing can be a really effective business investment.”
