Built in the 1970s and operated by NYK since 1989, the 170,000 sq.ft. warehouse occupies a five-acre site on Ballieston Road. The site provides a Scottish distribution platform for major NYK customers, and a hub for collections from Scottish vendors into NYK’s established automotive network, which feeds the production lines at Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and Toyota.

Since 1995, the Glasgow site has also been home to Tennent Caledonian Breweries’ Scottish distribution operation, and also provides high security storage for a number of other companies.

On the continent, NYK Logistics (Belgium) has won the business of yet another segment of Konica Minolta.

NYK Logistics (Belgium) has been appointed logistics partner for Konica Minolta Sensing: the measuring instruments branch of Konica Minolta.

NYK Logistics (Belgium) has been the Belgian and European partner for Konica Minolta products, managing inbound, storage, value added logistics, technical configuration and product distribution out of the NYK warehouses in Genk and Antwerp.

The new operation concerns a European stock operation for the various measuring instruments for industrial, photographic and medical fields. The entire operation will be managed out of the NYK Logistics (Belgium) HQ in the port of Antwerp.
