The Spa Finder Gift Voucher is available in sterling or euros and can be spent at more than 3,500 spas around the world, including more than 100 in the UK.

As reported in Incentive & Motivation in June, it has been developed by the company behind Luxury Spa Finder magazine which already offers cards and vouchers in the US. Director Kevin Turnbull said it was on course to launch a plastic card as well early next year.

Although the vouchers are available in denominations of £25, £50 and £100, they can be printed with any value, with additional customization such as logos for corporates. They can be sent as part of a gift box, with additional products such as chocolates. Turnbull added that the experience in the US showed that gift cards and vouchers provide incremental business to spas. “People spend up to two or three times the value of that voucher,” he said.

Another feature is that, once the vouchers have been used for payment, spas can receive funds directly into their accounts by entering the vouchers’ codes online rather than having to send them in by post.

The product will be rolled out in local languages in Europe in the future, particularly in Germany, France, Italy and Spain. As in the UK, it will be supported by Luxury Spa Finder websites.
