Seafield wins 3-year contract with UK steel distributor

National steel distributor NSD has awarded a major three-year contract to Seafield Logistics, under which Seafield will supply NSD with six MAN 44 tonne artics with nine extending trailers.
Seafield Logistics has provided quality service to NSD for the past two years, and last year Seafield relocated its Crowle operation onto NSD’s site in Scunthorpe.
The new contract will enable Seafield to exploit back-haul opportunities with other steel customers throughout the UK.
The contract will take the fleet size at Seafield’s Scunthorpe operation from fourteen vehicles up to twenty, and will provide six new driving jobs, ensuring the site’s continued success.
Seafield managing director Mark Strong is envisaging an increased demand for steel products throughout the UK, especially with the requirements of the 2012 Olympic games
