As the development and implementation of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology continues to unfold, the National Retail Federation (NRF) has unveiled a new service for retailers and consumers. The RFID Resource Centre, located at www.nrf.com/rfid, provides a comprehensive source of critical and timely information related to RFID. Visitors will gain access to RFID news, original research and the latest trends.
"RFID is quickly becoming a reality for retailers," said NRF Chief Information Officer David Hogan. "This resource centre is designed to keep retailers informed with the latest developments and reach out to consumers to create awareness of the exciting benefits of this emerging technology."
The National Retail Federation is the world's largest retail trade association, with membership that comprises all retail formats and channels of distribution including department, specialty, discount, catalogue, Internet and independent stores as well as the industry's key trading partners of retail goods and services. NRF represents an industry with more than 1.4 million U.S. retail establishments, more than 23 million employees - about one in five American workers - and 2003 sales of $3.8 trillion. As the industry umbrella group, NRF also represents more than 100 state, national and international retail associations
