Karen Cook has been appointed as Non-Executive director to the Board of Tesco PLC. The appointment takes effect from 1st October 2004. Karen is a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs.

Prior to joining Goldman Sachs International in 1999, Karen was Co-Head of UK Corporate Finance at Schroders.
Karen was a non-executive director at Dixons plc for six years between 1997 and 2003.
Karen has a BSc(hons) from Bristol University and an MBA from Manchester Business School which she completed in 1982.
Karen is married with six children
