The Retail Advertising and Marketing Association (RAMA) recognized retail advertising's brightest visionaries last week during the Retail Advertising Conference (RAC) in Chicago. During the awards dinner on Thursday, February 10, RAMA honored Douglas Raymond, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Retail Marketing Institute, and Tom Holliday, RAMA President, with the RAMA Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, Julie Gardner, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Kohl's, was inducted into the RAMA Hall of Fame.
The winners of the RAC 2005 Award, the most coveted award in retail advertising, were also announced during the dinner ceremony. Winners were chosen by a panel of judges consisting of top advertising executives in the retail industry, as well as through interactive audience voting for certain categories.
"All of this year's winners displayed creativity beyond anything the industry has witnessed in past years," said Tom Holliday, RAMA President. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to honor these people for the outstanding efforts and inspiration that they lend our industry."

The Retail Advertising & Marketing Association (RAMA), a division of the National Retail Federation, is a trade association of over 1500 retail marketing and advertising executives, plus their supporting partners from the advertising agency, media and service-provider areas. RAMA sponsors the annual Retail Advertising Conference (RAC), the largest single gathering of retail marketing and advertising professionals in the industry today. RAMA also produces the RAC Awards Competition, the most prestigious creative contest in retail.
