NYK Line has established a British subsidiary to expand its logistics business in Europe.
Based at NYK Line's office in London, NYK Logistics (Europe) Ltd. will "establish a single window point of contact for supplying total integrated logistics services including ocean transport, warehousing and distribution, by making good use of IT," the company said.
Establishment of the European company follows the creation of NYK Logistics (Americas) Inc. during the beginning of 2002, NYK says it is "committed to remaining a lead logistics provider on a global scale."
The new unit will employ 14 persons, including M. Sato, chairman, S. Murakami, managing director and J. R. Davidson, director.
