The new three-year agreement, which already sees the P&O Ferrymasters team providing distribution services to 46 Disney stores across France, Italy and Spain, will now be responsible for replenishing stocks at Disney stores on the Canary Islands.
To ensure that the cast of The Jungle Book 2, as well as the many other much-loved Disney characters, are on the shelves, all goods are collected by P&O Ferrymasters from Disney’s European Distribution Centre in Lutterworth and delivered in accordance with each store’s individual requirements.
With strict adherence to delivery times - as specified by Disney - the P&O Ferrymasters team deliver products to the majority of stores before opening and on occasion, during the day or after store closing - depending on local requirements.
Nigel Saxon, general manager, corporate sales, P&O Ferrymasters explains: “With many of the stores in prime city locations, access is not always straightforward. As some deliveries have to be made through the front doors, it is paramount that products for these stores are delivered either before they open for trading each day, or when they close in the evening.”
