Tideworks Technology, the provider of full-service terminal management and planning software solutions for terminal operators, has devised Forecast, a comprehensive online tracking tool for terminal operators worldwide.
Forecast uses the Internet to help customers communicate faster and more efficiently with shipping lines, trucking companies, brokers and other interested parties. The system provides secure, real-time information such as import container availability, vessel schedules, activity reports and booking statuses before truckers arrive at the terminal. Once they arrive, processing is faster and trouble free. The result is faster gate turn times, which in turn reduces operating costs and increases customer satisfaction.
