The operations of its third dedicated freighter service will start at the end of this month.
Their new Boeing 747-400 freighter will lift the number of freighter frequencies visiting Hong Kong from four a week to six. The aircraft then fly on to India, with Delhi to benefit from a doubling in its freighter visits from twice weekly to four times a week.
The freighters from Hong Kong already serve Madras and Bombay with a single weekly frequency each.
The new aircraft, like BAWC's two other 747-400s, will also be operated by UK-based cargo airline Global Supply Systems Limited (GSS). The lease is on an ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance) basis.
