PackageTrack has announced the first version of its Ship, Track and Trace network for private use.
Initially designed for military use, the Tracker suite of products can track and trace any goods, from a small envelope to a large M-1 Tank.
“The time has arrived where any company, of any size, shipping anything to anywhere can process, ship, track and trace their freight with the precision of a FedEx or UPS, at a fraction of the cost.” says PackageTrack’s president, Pat Patterson.
PackageTrack’s latest application involves a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company consolidating operations after a corporate merger. Tracker software created unique bar coded ID labels for thousands of items in offices around the world, and generated detailed packing lists and mailing labels. The labels were scanned, and the data uploaded to PackageTrack’s data centre where the movements of the items were monitored from start to finish. After twelve weeks and thousands of items in motion, PackageTrack maintained order and delivered the goods, including signature PODs, without a single lost piece.
