metaship AG has developed a system for the calculation, simulation and execution of supply chains within the textile industry.
4PL company Thiel Lifestyle Logistics Consult (TLLC), a subsidiary of Thiel Logistik AG, was involved in the development of SCNet (Supply Chain Network).
The SCNet System offers maximum transparency to TLLC’s customers, and guarantees optimal processing of supply chains due to the proactive monitoring of milestones and dynamic control of pre-set events.
TLLC uses the SCNet System for internal planning, calculating and simulation of supply chains, and offers a service to textile trading companies to monitor their purchase orders. Customers’ purchase orders are electronically imported into SCNet, and the system simulates several supply chains for different methods of transport (air, ocean, etc.), and also packing modes (cartons, hangers). SCNet considers multiple contract rate information according to each single part of the supply chain. Thus transport costs can be determined per line item taking into account issues such as time, costs and quality.
TLLC can select the best option from the multiple alternatives of possible supply chains produced by SCNet, and transport orders generated by the system are automatically sent to the respective service provider.
SCNet monitors all supply chains, and suggests alternatives in the event of any deviation from schedule.
