Intermec Technologies Corp. today announced that AppForge Inc. has been named as the inaugural member of its Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Partner program. The ISV program is designed to support and reward independent software vendors who create software applications and tools that extend the powerful computing, communications and data capture capabilities of Intermec devices.
AppForge’s latest version of Crossfire, its mobile and wireless application development environment, allows programmers to use Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 and Visual Studio .NET to create enterprise applications for Intermec 700 Series mobile computers. AppForge offers comprehensive database, synchronization, and wireless communications solutions and has seamlessly integrated Intermec bar code scanner support into Crossfire. Developers now can create and modify scanner parameters using a built-in Crossfire bar code control.
