ICS, developers of the RF-Smart® brand of wireless, mobile and RFID software solutions for PeopleSoft® enterprise software, has acquired Equential Technologies and its line of mobile enterprise applications for users of PeopleSoft.
The acquisition enables ICS to offer the broadest and deepest line of mobile solutions to complement RF-Smart's line of wireless automated data collection (ADC) solutions for distribution, manufacturing, RFID, transportation, warehouse management and pallet/container management.

He added that Equential's mobile functionality interacts with RF-Smart's web-enabled back office and PeopleSoft-certified XML interface. "The resulting, fully-integrated line of mobile solutions boasts the most robust, flexible functionality and the most powerful back office on the market. It's a very compelling line of applications for users of PeopleSoft enterprise software."
The new line-up of RF-Smart's mobile solutions will leverage the "go" naming standard established by Equential: goOrder Mobile Sales Entry, goLabor Field Services Management, goMobile Inventory Management, and goMobile Fixed Asset Tracking, among other solutions.
Equential employees are being retained and are in the process of relocating to Jacksonville, Florida, where ICS is headquartered.
