The Procter & Gamble Co. and T3Ci, an RFID analytics and applications company, have formed a multi-year, non-exclusive joint development partnership to identify and build RFID applications based on the Electronic Product Code (EPC) standard.
"We chose to work with T3Ci on EPC analytics and applications after evaluating the capabilities of a large number of solution providers," said Steve Rehling, director of IT and head of RFID systems at Procter & Gamble. "We have had the opportunity to work with T3Ci on EPC analytics for the past year and have now decided to expand our partnership to working collaboratively on EPC applications. T3Ci has provided us with extraordinarily high levels of customer service and we continue to be impressed with their insights and innovations."
T3Ci provides RFID data analysis to provide data on read rates, cycles times, store-to-store variation and other information. Current customers include such early RFID adopters at P&G, Unilever, Gillette and Hewlett-Packard.
"We are honored that Procter & Gamble has selected T3Ci as their strategic RFID partner," said Jonathan Golovin, CEO of T3Ci. "Procter & Gamble is not only an experienced early pioneer in the exploration of the potential benefits of RFID technology, but has also demonstrated leadership in the development of EPCglobal standards. Our experience working with them as well as our other early adopter customers over the past year has allowed us rapid learning cycles to gain insight and grow our products based on actual learning."
Rehling will also join T3Ci's customer advisory board.
