TNT Express has introduced an enhanced tracking service that allows customers to monitor all shipments online and obtain the status of multiple consignments with one mouse-click.
The new service - which is available in Benelux, China and 44 additional countries in the company's network – enables customers to track and filter multiple shipments at every stage of the delivery process and gain easy access to proof of delivery (POD) information such as delivery date, time and signatory details.
“Research conducted by the Customer Information Technology (CIT) Excellence group has highlighted a demand from our customers for tracking functions that offer greater visibility of consignment status,” said Magnus Engdahl, CIT manager, TNT Express, International Business Unit.
With the facility to gain instant access to their tracking history and extract the POD and shipment status in excel format, users are also able to create activity reports. Furthermore the service – which is available in the company's ExpressShipper program and will be implemented in myTNT later in 2006 – allows customers to track and manage the delivery of their consignments without the aid of TNT operatives.
The introduction of the Enhanced Tracking service follows the recent launch of the Email Booking Confirmation service, the Simple Returns function and the Enhanced ASN (Advanced Shipping Notification) - three additional features of the ExpressShipper function
