Edwin Tuyn, chairman of eyefortransport’s European 3PL Summit, notes a shortage of qualified logistics and supply chain professionals in Europe – at a time of great opportunity and growth.
Tuyn says that the transport, post & logistics industry showed the steepest growth in the July 2006 Monster Employment Index. This growth for qualified logistics staff has been significant in The Netherlands and Germany. According to Monster, the logistics sector is one of the most important ones to the German Industry.
Unfortunately most vacancies, for instance, in The Netherlands, are difficult to fill due to a general shortage of qualified logistics and supply chain professionals.
“With the 4th European 3PL summit in Brussels, there is a unique opportunity to increase your knowledge and bring this up-to-date in one of the most dynamic industries of this time,” says Tuyn. “With rapid developments in technology and with sourcing possibilities in Central and Eastern Europe and China, as well as with mergers in the 3PL industry, there are enough challenges and opportunities for growth.”
He remarked that another benefit of the 4th European 3PL Summit is the opportunity for delegates to meet other executives active in the logistics market and broaden their networks, share ideas and thoughts for the future in the world of third party logistics and their clients.
The 4th European 3PL Summit is a senior-level, focused, interactive event for 3PLs and 3PL users to benchmark best practice and develop profitable partnerships. 250+ executives will attend 24 case studies, 11 panels, 3 workshops, 14 interactive roundtables and take part in more than 10 hours of networking time.
Attendees will meet more than 60 executive level speakers from DHL, UPS, Menlo, NYK, Thiel, TNT, SEKO, Hellmann, PWC, Wincanton, Dachser, Schneider Electric, HP, Black + Decker, Fresenius Medical Care, Ann Summers, TVS Automotive, BSkyB, Screwfix Direct, Liz Claiborne/MEXX, Rexam and more!
“Join us in Brussels and increase your knowledge and enlarge your network,” says Tuyn. “I hope to see you there and meet you personally.”
