AP Moller-Maersk has appointed a new Southeast Asia chief executive; Railinc has named a new president; and Wincanton has appointed a new container logistics general manager.
AP Moller-Maersk has appointed Morten Engelstoft as its new Southeast Asia chief executive, effective October 2006. Engelstoft has been the chief executive of the Eastern Mediterranean area for the past three years. Prior to this, he was country manager for Singapore from 2001 to 2003, and line manager in Taiwan and Vietnam.
Thomas Orting Jorgensen, the current Southeast Asia chief executive, will return to the Group’s head office in Copenhagen, Denmark to assume a new senior role.
Railinc has named E. Allen West as company president. West has held key executive positions with Railinc since 1999. Prior to this new position, West was vice president of business services. West joined Railinc as vice president of Information Technology. His former positions in the transport sector include director of IT at Sea-Land Service, and key leadership positions at Tenneco and Norfolk Southern Corp.
Wincanton has appointed Doug Overett as general manager of container logistics. Overett has more than thirty years’ experience in the freight forwarding industry, most recently with Hellman Worldwide Logistics and Exel. He is also national chairman of the British International Freight Association
