Wincanton has been awarded a three-year contact extension to manage the warehousing and distribution of Marks & Spencer's non-merchandise equipment in the UK.
Based at Fradley, the operation is managed by Wincanton's Retail Solutions business and provides store managers with online visibility of assets and a flexible ordering system.
Wincanton manages the process from start to finish, receiving goods directly from suppliers and consolidating inventory at Fradley, and delivering the goods to Marks & Spencer as and when required.
According to Tim Stone, Wincanton’s director of the Retail business unit, the company’s flexible and responsive service, as well as its ability to meet Marks & Spencer’s changing needs, helped to secure the contract extension
