Industry analysts JupiterResearch forecasts a robust season this year, with online holiday retail sales up 18% over last year.
A fourth quarter 2005 survey commissioned by UPS revealed that the reliable delivery of orders is an important factor when it comes to customer loyalty, with 80% of online shoppers saying that a positive delivery experience would inspire them to purchase from that online retailer again.
Along with the spike in UPS package volume during the holidays comes a spike in the number of package tracking requests.
