Datatrac has announced the general availability of eDispatcher™ v3.1, designed to help dispatchers maximise operational efficiency.
eDispatcher fully leverages the capabilities of the latest version of COPS™ - Datatrac’s back-office product built to improve profitability and productivity for couriers.
The newest product release is also strategically important as it delivers the first phase of a new Windows® interface suite that will provide an optional graphical interface for existing Datatrac products.
eDispatcher provides full visibility into the status of jobs and drivers. It also enables dispatchers to aggregate jobs and sequence them for greatest efficiency prior to assigning them to a driver.
Used in conjunction with Wireless eTrac as part of a total dispatch solution, eDispatcher permits these jobs to be sent instantly to the selected drivers via their mobile phones and in the exact designated order.
eDispatcher helps new dispatchers to visualize the available jobs and assign them to the appropriate drivers. It also helps dispatchers to keep track of jobs for a particular area and determine the optimal time do dispatch, even as the workload evolves during the course of the day.

He added that additional modules will be released that will offer the option to use the familiar Windows® environment for the vast majority of interactions with Datatrac systems.
