i2 Technologies, Inc., the provider of value chain management solutions, and global warehouse management solution provider EXE Technologies(R), Inc. have extended their relationship in warehousing solutions. (5/24/2002)
This extended relationship will result in the delivery of an integrated solution designed to enable companies to rapidly reduce inventory levels, improve asset utilization, increase customer service levels and reduce costs.
Offered as a part of i2's Transportation and Distribution Management solution, the agreement allows i2 to market EXE's EXceed(TM) solution under the name i2 Warehouse Manager. i2's warehousing solution will include Warehouse Manager as well as Fulfilment Planner.

"Now, through i2 Warehouse Manager, i2 plans to offer a complete execution solution with industry-specific, integrated workflows to other i2 applications, which can further accelerate our clients' time to value."
Joint projects between i2 and EXE have established integration of standard workflows between both companies' products. Under the new agreement, the parties intend to extend those products over the next two releases and build them out to a fully integrated suite with a uniform look and feel.
EXE is the most global of the WMS suppliers based on regional market shares. Additionally, EXE is the leading provider of WMS software and services to the high tech manufacturing, third-party logistics (3PL) and other verticals, and is the largest WMS supplier to Tier 1 customers that have more than $1 billion in annual revenues. i2 is a market leader in the in the global Transportation Management System (TMS) space. i2 Transportation continues to assert market leadership in the retail, CPG, high tech manufacturing, automotive and 3PL verticals.
