The online freight payment service, Strategic Technologies Inc., has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on July 18, but says it is "business as usual" for clients. )
STI, based in Cary, N.C., offers services that include handling electronic data interchange between carriers and customers, invoice transmission, delivery status/confirmation, and audits of client's freight bills.
Paul White, vice president of marketing, said details of the filing would be forthcoming. "I think it important to comment that a significant portion of the STI business or client base is not affected by this reorganization and this includes our largest clients," which include Amazon and Microsoft.
