Indian bank, HDFC, has joined with the National Insurance Company and MasterCard to launch the `HDFC Bank Health Plus Credit Card' - a credit card with a mediclaim facility.
The card comes at an annual fee of Rs 750 and offers a mediclaim of Rs 50,000 with a critical illness cover of Rs 1.5 lakh, which can be upped on additional payments, said Mr Aditya Puri, Managing Director, HDFC Bank.
A sales target of 15,000-20,000 has been set for the first year.
A regular mediclaim policy for a customer below 35 years for a cover of Rs 50,000 will work out much lower at just Rs 750. However, this card works as a regular credit card and offers various discounts at select hospitals and gymnasiums.
