IMS announces the launch of a newly redesigned Web site for MB Financial Bank (NASDAQ: MBFI, http://www.mbfinancial.com), one of the largest independent banks in the Chicago area.

The recently updated site features a reorganized site structure for easier navigation and a new custom design, which was retrofitted over MB Financials previous design. The Web site solution enhances customer usability and updates the look while maintaining existing functionality, saving months of application development time and avoiding a costly re-development project.
"One of the challenges of the project was to create a distinctive new look for MB Financial, while maintaining the front-end content display of the site's Content Management System," explains IMS Creative Director, Jim Witkins. "Typically you start with a blank slate, develop a design and then add content. In this case the content was already formatted for the site in an existing CMS database so we reverse-engineered the process. It helped that IMS wrote the original CMS application which was flexible enough to integrate with a new design."
The new Web site also features a flexible width design accommodating various customer screen resolutions, while still integrating seamlessly with third party vendor products and online banking services. MB Financial Bank customers may also notice additional visual cues like a navigational "bread crumb trail" further enhancing site usability.
"IMS gave us the flexibility to update our look and enhance our functionality without having to abandon the work we'd done previously. The content stayed the same, and that made the switch much easier for our customers and our employees," added Baehler. "The transition was seamless."
