Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Competitiveness, Barry Gardiner, today announced the appointment of six new Members to the National Council of Postwatch
– The Consumer Council for Postal Services.
Maureen Edmondson and Roger Darlington replace the outgoing Regional Chairs for Northern Ireland and Greater London respectively. David Croisdale-Appleby, Sheila Button, Elizabeth Hodder and Nigel Walmsley, will join the Council as National
Members. All appointments come into effect from 10 April.
Welcoming the new Council Members, Barry Gardiner said: “I am delighted that Postwatch has taken on new Council Members with the skills and experience that will help the organisation address the significant changes facing postal services and consumer representation in the UK. I am sure that each new Council
Member, together with the existing Council Members, will make an invaluable contribution to the ongoing work of Postwatch to ensure that consumers have access to high quality, reliable postal services.”
