Animated film stars Wallace and Gromit popped in to thank Barclay’s staff for the generous donation of £100,000 to the Wallace and Gromit’s Children’s Foundation. The donation will help fund things including care staff, therapists, medical equipment and a new hospital, and will be divided equally between ten different hospices and hospitals around the UK.
The funds are being donated to Wallace and Gromit’s Children’s Foundation, a national charity raising funds to improve the quality of life for children in hospitals and hospices across the UK.
“It’s great that we’re able to play our part in continuing the excellent work done at Naomi House Children’s Hospice,” said Rachel Barber, Head of Global Community Investment at Barclays. “This is money for music therapists, new specialist eye-care equipment, art materials – all for people in need – and reflects our commitment to the communities in which we work.”
Marie Clements, of Wallace and Gromit’s Children’s Foundation thanked Barclays for the donation: “As Wallace would say, this is a cracking donation and it will really help improve the lives of sick children throughout the UK.”
