Barclays PLC announces the appointment of Vinit Chandra as Product Director, Treasury and Investments, for its Global Retail and Commercial Banking (GRCB) business.
Vinit, 43, joins from Citigroup's Asia Consumer Bank where he was Asia Regional Treasurer and Head of Treasury Product Sales for Asia based in Singapore. Prior to this he was Head of Treasury Business Finance for Standard Chartered Bank Asia Pacific.
In this new role Vinit will lead global capability development in treasury and investment product design and delivery. Vinit will join the GRCB Management Committee and report to GRCB Chief Executive, Frits Seegers. Vinit joins Barclays on 23 October 2006 and will be based in London.
