It is reported by CCTV (China Central Television) that Beyond 3G is 3G-based 4G communications technology aiming for mobile communications system after 2010. It focuses mainly on mobile data services covering a wide range with high speed.
Through the implementation of 4G technology, all kinds of information are available for everybody in anytime such as virtual reality, conference TV and high resolution and real-time images.
You Xiaohu, the director of department of R&D Project of China 3G Mobile Communications System, says China had started up its R&D of 4G technology while its 3G mobile communications system was in primary stage of application. China hopes to receive its own intellectual property rights through developing and researching in the primary stage of a new technology.
