Since 1996, BemroseBooth Mass Transit has supplied the complete range
of tickets used by all of Britain's Train Operating Companies, through
a single source contract negotiated by FPA Consulting Limited (FPA)
in partnership with the Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC).
The contract combines the fragmented requirements of the individual
train operators into large aggregated demand. By working through FPA,
the buying power of train companies is more effective, yet there is
still a flexible approach to cater for the needs of individual operators.
In 2001, after re-tendering for the business, BemroseBooth was awarded
a long term contract on a sole supplier basis. Future innovations
will include the continued development of advertising on tickets,
along with the introduction of new technology-based ticketing initiatives. |
