Las Vegas Convention Centre, Las Vegas, Nevada was the venue for the American Public Transit Association’s (APTA) International Public Transportation Expo held 23-25 September 2002.
Held every three years, more than 15,000 transportation industry leaders from around the globe attend to meet suppliers of the latest public transportation products, services, and technologies designed to enhance the passenger experience and make transit systems more efficient and profitable.
BemroseBooth USA, formerly HBG International, took the opportunity to launch its corporate re-branding and exhibit a range of new passes and transfers including Metrofoil ™. Key benefits of Metrofoil ™ are first pass read rate superiority and maintenance cost reduction.
BemroseBooth USA were represented by company president Allen Davidson, who also chairs the APTA Fare Collection Standards Purchasing Subcommittee, marketing manager Matthew McCoy and Michael Wall, who heads up BemroseBooth’s global Mass Transit operation. Commenting on the show, Michael said:
“We were delighted by the response, not only to our existing product range and Metrofoil ™, but our newer developments in the area of low-cost RFID (Radio Frequency Identification). The USA is an increasingly important market for BemroseBooth and we expect to grow our business here substantially in the near term”.
