BemroseBooth, in collaboration with Leicester-based Vertis, has produced 13.75 million Lord Of The Rings gamecards for the Royal Mail as part of its Christmas promotion.
BemroseBooth project managed the total contract for Royal Mail, printing the significant prize cards, which included one grand prize of £1m, five £10,000 prizes, 10 holidays and 20,000 special-edition watches. The bulk of the print work being out-sourced by BemroseBooth to Vertis.

BemroseBooth brought together all elements in a total integrity environment, producing the plastic sleeves, which flow-wrapped the gamecards with packets of 12 first-class seasonal stamps, printed by De La Rue.
Specialist security printing and finishing equipment was used to complete the project. This ensured that the five specific security elements, designed by agency Claydon Heeley Jones Mason, were in place.
Andy Blundell, business development director of BemroseBooth, said: “It is typical of the way we work with clients now, in a wider role as opposed to just supplying a product. We are a provider to Royal Mail in its parcel and security supply chain, but we are also able to take on major project management work that isn’t within our immediate core.”
It took a few weeks to complete the job, with the campaign running from 5 November-21 December.
