Specialist and secure print services provider BemroseBooth, announced today that it is to make a selective withdrawal from part of its Information Products business - sheet-fed colour printing and digital facilities will be retained but the company will cease operating its Timson T32 press and the majority of its binding equipment. The move has been prompted by a decline in volume of printed catalogues that has made it increasingly difficult to sustain in-house manufacturing.

Information Products is based at BemroseBooth's Derby site and the Company has now entered a period of consultation with affected employees and their representatives (Amicus-GPMS). The Company advised that the redundancy impact could be around 70 but it hoped that the majority of these would be voluntary.

Within this business area, we are confident that we can sustain key customer relationships from our colour and digital print base, coupled with our expanding interests in print management. Derby will remain the centre of our growth plans for Telecom, Retail, Secure Mail and Promotional Products".
