(Appleton, Wis., June 19, 2006) Graham Bennington, chief executive officer of BemroseBooth, an Appleton subsidiary, announced today his plans to retire from the company. Bennington, 55, chose to announce his retirement plans now to provide the company enough time to find the best qualified individual to succeed him and to make the management change as smooth as possible. Bennington will continue to serve as BemroseBooth's chief executive officer during the candidate search and transition period.
“We appreciate Graham's long career with BemroseBooth, his many contributions to the company's success, and the time he has given us to find his successor,” said Sarah Macdonald, vice president and general manager of Appleton's international division. “We expect the process to be seamless for our employees and customers.”
Bennington was named chief executive officer of BemroseBooth in July 2000 when Bemrose Corporation sold its specialist print division to the management team backed by Lloyds TSB Development Capital (LDC) and Bank of Scotland. Prior to that, he served as the chief executive of Bemrose European Operations from 1992 to July 2000. Bennington joined Bemrose Corporation plc in 1977 and has held several management positions including operations director. Bennington has been a member of Appleton's executive team since Appleton acquired BemroseBooth in December 2003.
